"The dominator of Roanoke Valley women's golf will put her game on national display this week. Dot Bolling, the straight-hitting 52-year-old from Hidden Valley Country Club, will be among 132 contestants teeing it up today in the 37th USGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship in Williamsburg."

"Roanokers have long considered the old and vacant Norfolk and Western buildings downtown part of city history. Wednesday, the state made it official for three of them.
