Annie Moore's Pub is offering food and drink specials, with proceeds going toward the American Cancer Society.

CREATE THE GOOD
As part of AARP's Create the Good, more than 70 Ruritan clubs across the state are sponsoring a one-day food drive to replenish local food banks.
When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Roanoke location)

ROANOKE HEART WALK
The annual walk raises money for the American Heart Association.

SEVENTH ANNUAL MEMORY RIDE
The theme for the Roanoke Police Department's event is "Riding for the Cure," and proceeds will benefit Roanoke Valley Lifesaver and the Greater Roanoke Valley Autism Action Group.

Where: Roanoke Valley Harley-Davidson, 1925 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke

Brandon Oaks Retirement Community needs volunteers to serve as medical appointment escorts, shopping assistants, readers and exercise room assistants.
