Pack the Bus
Donate money or back-to-school items and help give Roanoke County students the supplies they need to start the school year. Items needed include backpacks, binders, glue sticks, notebooks, pencils, notebook paper, scissors and construction paper.
When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 12, Bonsack Wal-Mart; 4-7 p.m., Hunting Hills Wal-Mart
Fashion show
Runway for Recovery is a fashion show and afternoon tea to benefit Bethany Hall, a residential substance abuse treatment program for women.
When: 3-5 p.m., Aug. 9
Where: Jefferson Center, Fitzpatrick Hall
Cost: $20 adults, $15 children under 18
