Relay for Life
Raise awareness and money through this annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

Golf tournament
The Roanoke Police Department will hold its annual golf tournament to benefit Special Olympics Virginia. Money also will be raised to benefit injured Officer Bryan Lawrence.
When: May 30
Where: Ashley Plantation
Cost: $240 for a team of four; includes breakfast, lunch and carts and greens fees.
