Three members of Boy Scouts of America Troop 210 have completed community services projects and met the requirements of becoming Eagle Scouts, the highest achievement in Scouting.
Sam Andree, Tyler Anderson and Quinn Pedelty coordinated and completed projects that benefited the Girl Scouts, the Roanoke Rescue Mission and Lick Run Greenway. Their honor court, recognizing their achievement, was held Jan. 17 at South Roanoke United Methodist Church.
Sam, a senior at Faith Christian School, built eight picnic tables for the Ichimani Girl Scout Center in Roanoke County and made improvements to the one-mile trail. He is the son of Wendy and Don Andree.
Tyler, a Patrick Henry High School senior, added a trust fall, group balance beam and blind maze to the Christian Challenge Course at the Roanoke Rescue Mission's Jubilee Acres. He is the son of Judi and Paul Anderson.
Quinn, a December 2009 graduate of Patrick Henry, installed more than 30 distance markers on the Lick Run Greenway between Hotel Roanoke and Valley View Mall as part of larger project between the city of Roanoke and the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke. He is the son of Kris and Michael Pedelty.
