It's been a successful school year thus far for Penn Forest Elementary School. During the annual Back to School Night, Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m., parents and teachers met and discussed what would be expected of the students for the school year.
Faith Christian School announces new Middle/Upper School head
Faith Christian School, an independent K-12 Christian Classical school in Roanoke County, announces the appointment of Thomas Mann as its new Middle/Upper School Head.
Thomas received his B.S. Ed., in English and Oral Communications from Concord University, Athens, W.Va., in 1988, and taught in the West Virginia public school system for two years. He moved to Roanoke in 1990 where he assumed the pastorate of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church. He joined the FCS faculty in 2003 and has taught Theology, Literature and Rhetoric for the past six years. In addition to pastoring, Mr. Mann serves as program host for the daily edition of the Baptist Bible Hour, a radio teaching ministry based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Faith Christian School announces new Lower School head
Faith Christian School, an independent K-12 Christian Classical school in Roanoke County, announces the appointment of Tess Jones as its new Lower School Head.
A graduate of Virginia Tech, Tess has a Bachelor of Science in Education. Tess taught eight years in public school, two years in a traditional Christian school, and has been at Faith Christian School for five years.
