Senior Mark Overstreet named Cave Spring Knight

Senior Mark Overstreet was named the 2009-2010 Cave Spring Knight. Overstreet is a member of the state-champion Cave Spring basketball team as well as the track and cross-country teams.

"Mark is an amazing student/athlete. He is a natural leader who brings a ton of enthusiasm. Mark is an excellent choice to be this year's Knight," said Tommy McGuire, CSHS track and cross-country coach.

Each year, the staff at Cave Spring High School vote to select one senior who best represents the values of the Knight. Perhaps the most famous past-Knight is Tiki Barber.

Faith Christian School's Back to School Night

Faith Christian School changed it up a bit during their Back to School night on Thursday, Aug. 27, beginning at 5 p.m. Parents met with teachers and faculty in the great room and were given their children's schedule. Then the parents traveled from class to class and were able to speak with their students' teachers and learn more about the classes their children are participating in.

North Cross holds orientation

North Cross students were introduced to their classrooms and their teachers on Thursday, Aug. 27, during orientation. Muffins and coffee were available to those who attended while teachers gave their incoming students a tour of their respective classrooms and other important places the student must know for the start of the school year.

Cave Spring Elementary School's Back to School Night

Parents switched places with their students during Cave Spring Elementary School's annual Back to School Night. Back to School night for Cave Spring Elementary was held at 7 p.m. at the school and parents were able to meet with their child's teachers to find out what their expectations were this year.
