A new Miss Roanoke Valley will be crowned this weekend. Traditionally, the pageant has been held at Cave Spring High School. This year, because of renovations at the school, the pageant moves to Mill Mountain Theatre.

The Miss Roanoke Valley pageant is at 7 p.m. Saturday; the Miss Teen and Pre-Teen and Little Miss Roanoke Valley pageant is at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The reigning Miss Roanoke Valley is Lindsay Morris, a James Madison University student from Maryland. The reigning Little Miss Roanoke Valley is Normandie Essig, a student at North Cross School.

Two contestants for Little Miss Roanoke Valley have ties to Southwest Roanoke County.
