Each year, the Kevin Jones Performing Arts Studio, presents a free show at the Jefferson Center.
This year, there are two shows. The dates are Saturday, Jan. 31, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m.
Tickets are required and are limited. This year, tickets will become available on Jan. 8 at 8:30 a.m. at the Jefferson Center box office. Act fast -- last year all of the seats were gone before the day was through.
This year's show is called "Broadway Showstoppers" and as the title suggests, features the show-stopping numbers from 14 different Broadway shows.
Jones says: "This year's show will introduce the Roanoke Valley to some great shows that have never played in the valley before including: 'The Drowsy Chaperone,' 'Grand Hotel,' 'The Producers' and 'Spamalot.' It's going to be the biggest singing and dancing extravaganza yet!"
Included in this year's cast are nine students from Southwest Roanoke County (all students at Hidden Valley High School, by the way.)
They are: Nigel Huckle, Corinne Davis, Nate Wulff, Leah Wedge, Lauren Harris, Emily Ferguson, Alison Downie, Lauren Altieri and Kassidy Page.
