Stonegate Swim Club

Swimmers from Stonegate's swim team gather in the pool just before the swim meet begins to do their traditional cheers.
Stonegate Swim Club hosted a Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association meet in which swimmers from Stonegate, Elks Lodge and Limestone Park competed in the 25 fly and the 25 back. Prior to the swim meet, Stonegate Swim Club held a mini-meet for the newest addition to the swim team, the "Hatchlings." The Hatchlings is a pre-team program for swimmers ages 5 and up who cannot yet swim at least one length of the pool without stopping. Kathy Collie, Coordinator for Stonegate's Swim Team, and Jennifer Harris, Hatchlings coach, cheered on the Hatchlings along with family members and friends at their mini-meet.
Meanwhile, the Duane Whitenack City/County Meet, the Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association's year-end championship meet, will be held this Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25, at the Salem YMCA.
