Salem vs. Hidden Valley girls' basketball
Salem hosted Hidden Valley on Friday, Jan. 30. Hidden Valley won the game 47-33.

Salem Outlaws in the NRV Classic
"This is the Salem Outlaws 10U girls team. The head coach of this team is Vicki Coulling. She played college ball at JMU and has tried to start an AAU girls program for the Salem area. Most of her kids are soccer players but she is trying to make them into basketball players and doing a great job of it." These are from the NRV Classic tournament in Christiansburg from Jan. 17 to 18.
Team members are: Jessie Boehling (#27), Hannah Coulling (#2), Stephanie Elting (#9), Maza Foley (#11), Hannah Moran (#26), Hannah Rich (#3), Emily Steffan (#28), Kemper Wills (#39), Kennedy Haga (#37).

Salem High School played the first game in the Salem Kiwanis Member One Valley Shootout on Saturday. Salem came up short in its contest against George Washington of Charleston, W.Va., with the final score 77-46.
