About So Salem
What about the print edition?
Our print edition publishes weekly. Salem and western Roanoke County subscribers will find it included each Friday in their regular Roanoke Times. Most non-subscribers will have it mailed to them as part of the Simply Savings advertising flier. We also have free copies available at Kroger and Food Lion in Salem, plus the Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea in Salem.
If you'd like to guarantee delivery by becoming a subscriber, our circulation department can help you.

A quick tour of So Salem online
In the middle of the page, you'll find "The Notebook." That's our community news blog, which we update several times each weekday with reports from Salem. In it, you'll find stories and photos which might -- or might not -- appear later in print. You may also find questions on things where we ask you, the reader, for help. And, like other blogs, we invite you to post your comments and join in the conversation.
Below The Notebook, under section headers such as "Neighbors" and "Friends," you'll find stories that have appeared in the most recent print edition of So Salem.
And on the lower left, under "More Salem News," you'll find stories about Salem and western Roanoke County that have appeared on the daily editions of The Roanoke Times.
How can I contribute news and photos? With just a few simple clicks. On the left, you'll find our "share" button. Or you can email us as news@sosalem.com -- or you can directly contact our community journalist for Salem, Miranda Adkins, at Miranda.adkins@sosalem.com.
Know of any Salem bloggers? On the upper left, you'll find our community blogroll, where we link to others who are blogging in and about Salem and western Roanoke County. If you're a blogger, or know someone who is, let us know so we can link to them.
