Nathan Parr, a sophomore at Hampden-Sydney College, has been awarded the Madison Scholarship.

Selection is made by the faculty Honors Council and is based on leadership in the community as well as outstanding academic achievement.

Nathan, a computer science and psychology major, is a member of the Computer Science Club and the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and is active in intramural sports. He is a graduate of Liberty High School and is the son of Rev. Jerry M. and Liz J. Parr of Bedford and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Jones and Mrs. Audrey Weaver, all of Salem.
