I live on the James River just outside of Buchanan. My house overlooks the river, a large pasture where cattle grazed up until a few days ago, and foothills. Now someone is trying to develop a primitive campground in the pasture. Alcohol use will be permitted at the campground. We all know that alcohol and rivers do not mix. Little thought was given to environmental and safety issues.
