Troutville woman wins Boy Scouts award
Leslie Woodie is a member of her church choir and praise band, and is a past member of the Lord Botetourt High School PTA

In addition she is a past member of the Lord Botetourt High School PTA. Leslie has held several executive offices for Troutville Elementary PTA: Past President, vice president, ways and means chair, reflections chair, OM chair, expo chair, and hospitality chair. She served on the committee for LBHS after prom party. She is also past president of the Botetourt Ccounty council of PTA’s.
She was coach and assistant coach for Odyssey of the Mind and was district judge for many years. She has been a volunteer for the Botetourt county 4-H livestock club and has been a judge for the share the fun program. For four years Leslie has also organized the Fincastle Arts Festival. She has organized fundraisers, such as golf tournaments and heart walks for the American Heart Association.
Leslie has previously been an employee of The Bank of Fincastle and the American Heart Association. She is presently employed by Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and is pursuing a degree in nursing.
She is the wife of Mark Woodie and has a son, Josh Bare, and daughter-in-law Lauren. She also has two daughters, Lindsay and Hillary Bare. Adam, her stepson and wife Jenny, have a son Aiden, making Leslie a proud grandmother.
