Good Shepherd Church of the Brethren in Blacksburg will hold the first Taize prayer service of the season on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. The services will be held on the second Friday of each month throughout the fall. On Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Trinity Baptist Church in Christiansburg will kick off its Awana clubs for the 2004-05 season with a hot dog supper and meeting with club leaders.
