1st-half lead fades for Patrick Henry

The game was PH's homecoming game and was moved to Lynchburg because of an unplayable field at Victory Stadium. Chris Cook scored three touchdowns and finished with 180 rushing yards, while Wayne Ford contributed 160 yards rushing and threw two touchdown passes for Heritage (4-1).
Quarterback J.C. Simmons completed nine passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns, while Seth Chapman hauled in six catches for 95 yards for Patrick Henry (1-5).

Caudill caught a 59-yard TD pass and scored on a 45-yard punt return. Davis caught a 49-yard TD pass and recovered a fumble and returned it 64 yards for another score. It was one of two fumbles returned for TDs for the Maroons. Matt Shaver returned one 5 yards for a TD.
