One-terabyte hard drives coming
Computer hard-drive makers Hitachi and Seagate both announced last week they will soon be selling one-terabyte hard drives -- that's 1,000 gigabytes. Hitachi expects to offer them by late March; Seagate's will ship in the first half of the year.
How big is a terabyte? If you snapped a high-resolution 8-by-10-inch photo every minute, 24 hours a day, it would take more than six months to fill a drive.
