Yet another deadline has been extended in the long-running effort to reach a settlement of a $36.3 million civil verdict against a Roanoke high-tech company.

Since September, Luna Innovations Inc. has been in discussions with Hansen Medical Inc. Luna filed for bankruptcy earlier this year after a California jury found that it stole trade secrets from Hansen.

For the fifth time, bankruptcy Judge William Stone on Friday agreed to let another deadline pass as the two companies work to perfect an agreement on the amount Luna must pay. Additional details are expected at a hearing scheduled for Monday in Stone's court.
