ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The city of Roanoke has selected ROBERT LEDGER for the position of economic development manager in the department of economic development.
FINANCIAL
WestStar Mortgage Corp. has opened a new branch in Roanoke with JIM GEORGE as loan officer and area manager, EDIE SAUNDERS as loan officer, and DONNA SPRADLIN as loan manager.
HEALTH CARE
DR. WILLIAM MANN has been selected to participate in the Medical Society of Virginia Foundation's Claude Moore Physician Leadership Institute.
TED LeNEAVE has been awarded the VHCA James G. Dunton Distinguished Service Award by the Virginia Health Care Association in recognition of his dedication to the residents, staff and family members of American HealthCare's nursing facilities.

The board of directors of Warm Hearth Inc. has elected JANET JOHNSON to serve as chairwoman for 2009-10.
Roanoke County announced the promotion of DIANA WILSON to assistant director for information technology, and BILL HUNTER to assistant director for communications.
KEVIN LANCASTER of SERVPRO has attained the cleaning industry's highest designation, IICRC Master Status for Master Textile Restorer and Master Fire and Smoke Restorer.
The Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission announced the election of officers for 2009-10: DR. DAVID TRINKLE, chairman; BILLY MARTIN SR., vice chairman; DEAN MARTIN, treasurer; WAYNE STRICKLAND, secretary.
