A national television, Internet and catalog retailer laid off 15 hourly employees at its Roanoke County facility on Monday.

HSN said it laid off less than 4 percent of its work force at its fulfillment facility, which has 450 total employees.

The company employs 850 people locally, including 400 sales and service employees, at its call center near Bonsack, said Brad Bohnert, a spokesman for Florida-based HSN.

A statement from HSN blames the current economic environment for the layoffs.
