MARY LEIGH WOLFE, professor of biological systems engineering in Virginia Tech's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, has been elected into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering's College of Fellows.

AARON PURCELL, director of special collections at Virginia Tech University Libraries, has been appointed by Gov. Tim Kaine to serve on the Virginia State Historical Records Advisory Board.

Virginia Tech has announced the appointment of ONWUBIKO AGOZINO as director of the Africana Studies program, and WORNIE REED as director of the Center for Race and Social Policy.
