Angels of Assisi
The animals featured here live at Angels of Assisi’s Harmony Farm Sanctuary. The organization takes care of them, along with other abused or unwanted farm animals.

The Rescue Mission/2nd Helpings:
Artist Bill Kohler designed these Christmas cards, which are for sale in the 2nd Helpings Gallery, at 1502 Williamson Road in Roanoke. These cards feature Roanoke historical landmarks.
Cost: Color, $12 per box of  eight cards; black-and-white, $6 per box for  eight cards.

American Red Cross
-- The “Junior Red Cross” holiday card features a vintage Red Cross poster advertisement.
Cost: $19.50 for 25
-- The “Shoes” holiday card is a much-loved 1946 Red Cross image showing Werfel, living in an Austrian orphanage, receiving his first pair of shoes. The shoes were provided by the Junior Red Cross in America. Cost: $20 per box of 50 flat cards. The “Shoes” holiday card can also be purchased as folded cards. Cost: $15 per box of 25 folded cards
-- Created by Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet member Jane Seymour, this holiday card features “A Touch of Home,” an original watercolor drawing done in pen and ink. Inside message: “May the warmth and happiness of the season fill your heart with joy.”
