In five years, the Stick To Your Guns art show has stuck to its mission — encouraging people to look at art in different ways and support a scene that is growing less mainstream over time. This year, it does that in a space at Warehouse Row on 113 Norfolk Ave., with work from about 40 artists. The month-long exhibit opens Aug. 12, with a couple of bands to rock the show. Bonuses: Free food and free beer. Show co-founder Beth Deel joins us to talk about how the show has grown from a core of colleagues who met at the Kansas City School of Art to an affair that draws artists from all over. She discuss her hopes for the future of art in Roanoke, and we spin tunes from the bands playing the opening, Slug Rocket and The Wading Girl. Check out the podcast and other recent 'casts here.
