PODCAST: The Wading Girl

Not the one in the right of the picture, but
the one immortalized in a James Joyce book

The Wading Girl

Named for a passage in a James Joyce book, The Wading Girl has been building its reputation as a strong live act with good original songs.

The band joins us in the IO studio/hovel to talk about its music and tell us why practically everyone in the group is working or has worked at a Coffee Shop.

The Wading Girl, scheduled for a June 2 show at The Coffee Pot, also hosts Farm Out (not to be confused with Saturday's Farm Dysfunction, the subject of last week's podcast), an all-day fest set for July 16 in Elliston. On this 'cast, the band graces us with a couple of live performances.

In case you didn't know, we've been doing these podcasts for a little while now. What are they? They're like radio shows in mp3 format. You can right click and hit "save target as" to download this one to your computer or mp3 player, or just stream it by hitting the pointy thing in the RealPlayer box above right. If you want to get with the leading edge tech stuff, you can drag the XML button above left onto your news reader.

Check out all our podcasts.

Go to our message board and tell us what you think.

Host: Tad Dickens

Producer: Seth M. Gitner
